Do you remember getting lost in a book? Well some students never experience that amazing feeling. I teach 41 students Reading and Writing and definitely feel the students need to be exposed to a variety of genres. What better way then to expose them to the new Sunshine State Readers?
I teach at an amazing school that is 100% dedicated to student success.
I teach 41 students Reading and Writing. All of my students are extremely dedicated to their learning and work very hard. It is important for me as their teacher to help develop and foster a love of reading with my students. I know I can get the students excited about reading if I can obtain these new Sunshine State Readers.
My Project
Some of the students are goal-setters and would love to set a goal to read all of the Sunshine State books this year. If I could obtain the books for my classroom I can help my students reach their goal and in turn help improve their reading. The students will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of genres and they will also be able to have book talks about the books.
Donations to this project will be extremely beneficial to the success of my students in reading and writing.
Some of my students never get to experience a new book because their families can't afford to purchase one. By having these new books, the students can develop that love of reading and that excitement for a new book. The students' reading will continue to improve as they read through the list of books.
