My Students
Many of our newer, younger students are attending in-person school for the first time. Having been kept home for months, even up to two years, they have missed essential in-person learning.
We want all our students to be successful readers.
My Project
Many students have fallen behind in reading. While we aggressively work to catch them up, we want to make sure students are enjoying the journey.
Students need access to many kinds of books so they can discover what they are passionate about. Many don't have books at home, so this specific project is to use literature as a reward. When students do their best and/or reach a milestone, they will be given a token to choose a book to take home, to be theirs forever.
We hope to inspire a love of reading in every child.
This classroom project was brought to life by Utah State Board of Education.
