My Students

I have the honor of teaching third graders who attend an exceptional elementary school in California. We are a newly certified STEAM school and are incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished.

Unlike many public schools, we are not provided with the extra federal funding that many other schools receive.

I would still love to provide my deserving students with enriching resources. We are a diverse neighborhood school serving military families from the nearby base.

My students are a creative, enthusiastic, inquisitive, and diverse group of children who embody all that is right in society. Students who attend our school are taught to be responsible critical thinkers. They show empathy for each other and the world at large.

My Project

Third grade is a crucial year for reading growth. This amount of growth requires a lot of books. Books are the most valuable resource in the classroom!

My third graders will be returning to school after learning from home for an entire year.

I want to welcome my students back to school by creating a library with the latest and greatest series. I feel that by having series such as, The Wild Robot and The Last Kids on Earth, my students will get excited about reading and refocus on actual books, not a computer screen.

The more they read, the better they will get at it.

Providing my third graders with these series books will keep them reading and thriving.

Please help me create a nurturing, literature-rich learning environment for my third graders.
