This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are "koala-ty" learners that attend a Title I-funded school in Hawthorne, CA. My students have unique strengths, but one thing they have in common is a strong love of learning. Although they may not have a lot of resources to keep up with the ever changing world, they are always up for the challenge of learning something new.
In this class, we build a community of lifelong learners.
My students are constantly working hard and eager to learn. Coming back from this crazy year, I want to make sure that my eager students have access to a variety of resources.
I strive to make our classroom, in person and from a distance, the best environment possible where my students can express themselves creatively and be exposed to all sorts of learning experiences.
My Project
Flocabulary is a fun and engaging site that turns educational content into songs and raps. My students have been exposed to it this year, and they cheer every time they find out we are listening to another Flocabulary song.
By donating to this project, you will help me continue to use Flocabulary in our lessons, which will in turn keep my students excited for learning!
I hear my students say "This is a hit!" and see them dancing throughout our lessons because of these songs. It has helped them remember division facts, and make more connections to our reading lessons.
