My Students

Unique, sparkling-eyed ESL kids want an equally unique way to learn. Their imagination runs high. Extra energy and fun brings life to the classroom, and my students have plenty of both.

We want to move, sing, and play in the real world as much as possible-- to connect our brain neurons to life in a way that'll deepen our understanding, ignite imagination, and keep us learning forever.

That is why the projects I like to choose keep the kids engaged in the world around them.

My Project

WIDA standards and can-do descriptors--English language learners' equivalent to common core, lay a foundation for teaching and learning important social and academic language in the ESL classroom. These standards cross five domains: social and instructional language, language arts, math, science, and social studies. I have chosen three combination learning sets, each at a different level, with common core concepts and vocabulary to help my English language learners advance socially and academically.

These standards-based tools by Super Duper Publications will provide my English language learners (ELLs) with the vitally important concepts and vocabulary needed to navigate both social and academic challenges across five domains.

I have carefully evaluated the specifications for the tools and believe this will provide a great foundation to our Realia-based classroom.

Thank you for your support!
