"We're kinda like a family, aren't we?" Walk into our hallway, and you will immediately feel the love and sense of community there. Our kiddos know they are safe and welcome and come to school every day with an excitement that is contagious. They work hard at everything they do and never give up no matter what we throw at them.
Our kids deserve every opportunity we can give them.
We have a very motivated group of kids who are willing to try anything. There are so many experiences we want these kids to have because they deserve it more than anyone else in the world. We just need the tools to do it.
My Project
My class is very excited about reading. They love challenging themselves and growing as emerging readers! My goal as a teacher is to ensure that each one of my students leaves with the reading skills needed to succeed in both school and later in life.
These materials will help my students learn to read through hands-on experiences.
When students are able to touch and manipulate letters and sounds, it solidifies their knowledge of needed reading skills. This project will provide my students with decodable readers at varying levels, word games to increase their fluency, and tools to use when building words.
