Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students are brilliant learners with disabilities who rely on technology to supplement their traditional educational needs. In preparation for upper elementary, our first and second grade students switch classes.

Students within our classroom setting have various special needs from Autism to ADHD who require a variety of supports.

All learners would benefit by using noise canceling headphones, to self-soothe between tasks and work independently without being over- stimulated.

Additionally, as we strengthen our social-emotional skills, the seating cushions will provide comfort during group socialization activities for everyone. The various items in this campaign will help them manage and cope with their sensory needs has been found to assist in managing their disruptive behaviors throughout the school .
