This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are special needs students who enjoy being outside. They enjoy being able to work in our garden and watch things come to life. We are trying to get items for our raised garden beds. With these items, we will be able to plant and raise fresh vegetable's they can take home and feed to their families, or give out to our community.

There are many things to learn from raising a garden.

They will be able to learn how to prepare the soil for planting, how far apart to plant the seeds, and what it takes to take care of a garden. My students will also know what it feels like to give back. The students know that without the support of the Donorschoose community that they would not have what we have. They look forward to giving back a little that has been given to us.
