Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Do you remember indoor recess as a kid? I always thought it was so fun. We would play games, read books, and color. If we were lucky, we'd even get to draw on the chalkboard! These days, when we have indoor recess, kids just want to play on their Chromebooks, and they are missing out on necessary and important social emotional learning experiences.

In order to have a tech-free rainy day recess, I am requesting some games that encourage critical thinking, fair play, and fun!

We recently read a book in which the main character learned how to play chess, and this is one of the many games in this project that will help to encourage these valuable skills.

With your generous donations, we will be able to create an environment of collaborative and fun learning experiences during rainy day recess.
