My Project
On rainy days we can't go outside to the outside classroom raised bed garden because we don't need anyone getting wet or sick. We usually use rainy days to catch up on missing work or watch videos about agriculture. These plastic pots and paint pens will give my students a fun activity to do on those rainy days and give them something to take home to their families after they find a plant to put in the pot.
Honing in on a student's creativity in different ways can help build their self-esteem, make them proud of their work, and give them an opportunity to gift someone something they made themselves.
We did a project on painting rocks with cheerful messages, but the paint was really messy and hard to do because we were not very good artists. I hope these paint pens work better for the plastic pots and will be easier for the students to decorate. This activity might be something they ask to do even when it's not raining!
