Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The majority of my students live below the poverty level. My students face immense challenges outside of school that they can't control. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths! I have a large range of learning abilities in my classroom. They come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs. My students are second through fourth graders and have Autism, ADD, or ADHD, but all of the children in my classroom have the same desire to learn.
The students in my class strive for excellence and always try their best.
In my classroom we are scholars striving for greatness. I know my students will be successful because I truly believe in all of them.
My Project
I would love to give my students the opportunity to work on colorful paper!
My students all enjoy the happiness color brings to the world and I know getting to work on colored paper would make them so happy!
Having colorful paper would also help our artwork become more vibrant and give my students the opportunity to be as creative as their minds take them!
I also feel that color coding their work would teach them the organization skills necessary to be successful in middle school and beyond! I am so excited to be able to give my students the opportunity and skill that they will use the rest of thier lives!
