My Project
My students grew up without structure. From entering Kindergarten during the pandemic to shuffling through at least 3 different teachers since September, my students have not yet experienced order and consistency to nurture their growing minds. One minute (no pun intended), yet important detail is time. Our class does not yet have a clock. Our previous one broke and it’s not in our school’s budget to replace it, so instead of my phone for the time/timer, the MegaTimer adds functionality and a kid friendly experience to add some semblance of structure to their lives.
As their new and permanent teacher, I want every child to feel loved, cared for, and respected when they are in the classroom with me, so when they voted to have a Rainbow themed classroom, I listened.
They deserve a classroom that reflects their bright faces, colorful personalities, and reminder that hopes exist in their 2nd grade class.
