Our classroom community includes children of ages 3, 4, and 5. It is made up of 20 students who spend extended time in the classroom every day. They love learning through hands-on experiences!
My preschool students are always asking big questions and wondering about the world around them.
They are eager to learn new information and their curiosity goes beyond the walls of our classroom. They are excited to come to school every day, and they leave our classroom at the end of the day with big smiles and lots of new learned information.
My Project
My students love to play in all weather conditions; rain, snow and mud cannot stop them from exploring the great outdoors. Playing outside is an amazing learning experience for all of our students. It helps them develop muscle strength by climbing, running, jumping and many more benefits. It also helps them with body awareness and have a better understanding of the environment they live in. Playing outdoors is messy which they all love but also means that we can track it back to inside the classroom. The new shelves and drying rack will help us continue to have fun outside while knowing that we will keep our classroom clean as well. Students' boots are often covered in snow, mud or rain after outdoor play, therefore they will be storing their boots on these new shelves while using the drying rack to dry their gloves, scales etc.
