Rad Readers

Help me give my students more opportunities to get excited about reading with fun book series and bins to choose books for daily 5. Other resources for intervention groups as well as enhance engagement in whole group instruction.

My Students

I have an intelligent and amazing group of 3rd grade students. This group seems to be struggling more with social skills than past years. They have missed out on vital foundational skills because of lost instruction time due to COVID. This has posed many problems for them understanding concepts that should be a review for them from past level grade material. I am having to do a lot of reteaching and intervention groups in order for my students to have a basic understanding of the concept being taught.

My Project

The book series will give student more opportunity to find books they are interested in. The bins will give them a designated space to store the books they are reading to easily find them and stay organized.

For my intervention groups, the stools will allow adequate spacing to fit more students around my table comfortably.

The dry ease makers will help with student engagement using white boards to make whole group instruction fun and interesting.

Storing my materials above my shelves make it difficult to reach. The step stool will help keep me safe and allow me to access the material easier.
