Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Assessments are always boring, yet stressful for students. I like to gamify and make assessments and learning more hands-on and memorable!

By gamifying assessments, students have been able to reflect on their achievements and adjust their practice as learners with social emotional, and academically improved outcomes.

Students love the collaborations and competitive spirit of these games and exercises! Their interest and joy are evident.

My next projects will include Red Light Green Light, American Card Race, Pop Quiz, Dice Throw, Don’t Lose Your Marbles, and Platform Maze. Your donation will go directly into creating a fun and meaningful learning experience for my students, helping them grow as historians.

I teach a student population that is 96.3% economically disadvantaged. Many of them are newcomers & many are experiencing abject poverty. 74.4% of my student population are English language learners, and some are students in special education.
