My Students
I teach fourth and fifth grade reading in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma. My students are a diverse group with varied levels of learning. Our classroom is a space where students enjoy coming to learn. We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free lunch.
These students have huge hearts and love to learn in non-traditional ways, such as room transformations, integrating the arts into our lessons, and project-based learning.
My students have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better learning environment for these students. We are truly a community!
My Project
We plan to use the Epson color printer ink to create our own idiom books, poetry books, and personalized art projects. In addition, we will be creating color task cards for learning games, reading board games, and color workstation activities. Black and white is blah! We need to spice up our learning! Having resources printed in color is more appealing to the eye and more exciting to the students. These materials will provide my students with an opportunity to showcase their hard work. They deserve to shine! This will give them that opportunity! My goal is to help each student become engaged in reading and writing and inspire them to continue long after they have left my classroom!
My students will be excited to use the new games and materials that we can create with the Epson Workforce Pro color printer and accessories.
When students are excited they are more likely to be engaged and enthusiastic about their learning. Having access to a color printer with ink will help me to address their ever-changing abilities and tailor their learning activities for their developmental levels in a new and engaging manner.
