Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school with students from second to sixth grade. My students are from the inner city and are mostly English Language Learners. Our school is a pilot school. The school's philosophy focuses on leadership skills with an emphasis on critical thinking and 21st-century skills.

My students are hardworking, resourceful, self-motivated young people who are eager to be lifelong learners.

The majority of the students who attend our school will be the first in their families to attend college.

My Project

My students would like to have several supplies in the classroom that would help them have a smoother transition in their instructional day. The sheet protectors will be used to keep essays in order and neat. They need dividers to organize their notes in their binders. Highlighters will be used to emphasize important points in their notes. Dishwashing soap will be used to help create the illusion of steam in their volcanoes.

Students that are ready for the day, with their materials, have a smoother transition from class to class.

The pencil pouches will help keep materials organized. When students are on the go they need a quick way to clean their hand which is why they need hand sanitizer.
