My Students
"I don't have a pencil." "There aren't any markers." "There's only brown paper left?" Unfortunately, these were all things my students were saying throughout the year last year.
I teach a fabulous group of 4th graders at a Charter School in Michigan.
Many of my students are feeling the crash of the American Auto Industry at home in a very real and heartbreaking way. Although many people think school supplies should be a priority, the reality is that food and housing is a concern for some of my students' families. Understandably, school supplies are not in the budget anymore. However, school supplies aren't necessarily in the budget for schools anymore either.
My Project
My students need pencils, glue sticks, construction paper, colored pencils, and markers to jump start the school year. These supplies would help my students kick off the school year! Getting fresh supplies for school is what many kids looks forward to the most! The will have everything they need to get their work done, and also to add a little color to it! These supplies will help them create projects that they can be proud of!
Your help with this project would be monumental!
My students would have all the supplies they need to start the school year right! They will have a more positive attitude about the work they do. We will all be forever grateful to you for your time and generosity! Thank you for your dedication to our future!
