Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Standardized testing can be especially challenging for students with disabilities, who may be easily distracted or overwhelmed by noise in the testing environment. I am requesting a set of noise-canceling headphones to support these students and ensure they have equitable access to testing accommodations.
These headphones will help minimize auditory distractions, reduce anxiety, and promote focus for students who need a quiet space to process and perform at their best.
This is particularly important for students with sensory processing challenges, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or anxiety disorders, who often require controlled environments to show what they truly know.
By providing noise-canceling headphones, we are giving every student the opportunity to succeed, to feel comfortable and supported, and to participate in testing with the tools they need to thrive.
My Students:
My classroom serves a diverse group of learners, many of whom receive special education services or have 504 plans. These students are bright, capable, and eager to show what they’ve learned—but they need the right environment and tools to do so. With your support, we can remove one more barrier and empower them to succeed.
