This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students are dedicated to their well being. Many of them come to meditation/yoga weekly. Some are willing to engage in this practice by throwing their hoodies on the floor. What's important to them is that they grow in their practice. These materials will make a huge difference because they will have the resources needed to facilitate the comfort yoga requires. They will be able to loose themselves in the most complex pose because all obstacles (hard floor, sliding hoodie, etc.) will have vanished and replaced by the appropriate meditation/yoga paraphernalia. This practice will lead them to the culminating point of "quieting their minds".
