Quiet Space for Big Learning

My students need an alternative environment for learning! My students benefit from having options in where to sit and do their learning, take quiet breaks, and escape the busy classroom in my quiet learning corner!

My Students

My students are bright, compassionate wonderful humans who have a lot to offer. My students have many strengths, but all have a variety of disabilities that make learning, social communication, emotional regulation, and getting through the day more difficult than typical learners. Each student has their own individualized plan to help support and use their strengths in growing and increasing their skills in areas that are more challenging for them! All my students are working toward goals to increase their skill levels in their areas of weakness!

My Project

Having a quiet space to do work, take breaks, and calm down with a variety of seating options will maximize my students learning potential. Students with unique learning needs benefit from having a variety of ways to sit, move, and relax their minds while being asked to perform learning tasks. Flexible seating options and a place in the building to unwind can be the difference between success and a very difficult day for many of my students. Students accomplish more and grow when they are given the choice to realize how their mind learns best, and providing the right learning environment is the first step in providing them that critical skill.
