Quiet Practice, Strong Percussion: Help US Build Our Rhythms!

Help me give my students durable rubber practice pads for our percussion students. These pads will allow students to rehearse rudiments and stick control at home without disturbing others or needing a full drum set.

My Project

My students are creative, energetic, and passionate about music. They are middle schoolers who come to band ready to learn, improve, and express themselves through rhythm.

Many of them are just beginning their percussion journey and are eager to develop their skills outside of the classroom.

Unfortunately, most of my percussion students do not have the resources at home to practice consistently. They need something simple, portable, and quiet — like practice pads — to help them grow as musicians.

Percussion is all about precision, coordination, and consistency — and that requires regular, focused practice. With these practice pads, my students can continue to grow their skills between rehearsals, improve their technique, and come to class more prepared and motivated.

For students who can’t afford their own equipment, this is a way to remove that barrier and ensure equity in access to music education.
