it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Technology is outpacing the rate at which we can learn the various systems and applications. Our school is doing its part by neutralizing this phenomenon. We strive to integrate technology across the curriculum. Unfortunately, we do not have a well-establish technological infrastructure. This is why I would like your support in getting an iPad for my students. This iPad will allow my students to work in small groups to create and share videos while developing several 21st century skills such as collaboration, effective communication and social skills.
The vast majority of my students have a working knowledge of basic technological skills.
However, it would be great to see them use their skills towards learning opportunities. For example, I plan to set up a technology learning station with an iPad and tripod that will allow students to work on creating videos. I envision my students working in small groups to create exercises videos. Then, they will upload the videos to a file folder where are digital library will be created. Students will take responsibility for their learning by accessing the exercise videos that are relevant to the day’s and executing them as their warm-up routine.
Additionally, my students will reinforce 21st century skills when they developing digital content. For instance, students need to communicate effectively to obtain the desired educational outcomes and good social skills to make peers want to collaborate.
I believe this iPad will allow my students to develop several skills that are necessary to succeed in school and beyond. This is why ask for your help in bringing this project to life.
