My Project

This scanner will help my students scan objects and replicate them with the 3D printer. The are endless ways for students to see real life applications of fractions, ratios, decimals and more when they do scaling work as well as functional design. The scanner will allow students to blend hands-on modeling with the fine-tuning of CAD modeling and measurements.

This opportunity is priceless in a market that is quickly forming around digital content.

3D design work is quickly becoming a requirement for many jobs on the market. Being able to make connections from a tangible item to a digital 3D model is a great way to get students engaged in math and technology skills.
