My students need quality white boards and markers to use in all areas of instruction during a variety of times in our day.

Are we using white boards today? My students love to use white boards. It helps them to be excited about learning. There are many times during the day that they practice math skills on the imitation white boards(wall board from Home Depot). I would love to have "real" white boards for each person
My first graders are a diverse group of learners at a Title 1 school in Georgia.
They work hard every day. They need hands on activities to keep them actively engaged in learning. They love to use the wall boards that we currently have in our classroom, however these boards stain easily and many times don't erase very well. The boys and girls get distracted when their markers don't write very well on their board. They become more focused on the marker than the actual problem that they are trying to solve. They would be so excited to show their learning on real boards with new markers.
These double sided dry erase boards could be used for all subject areas in our classroom. My students would love to use the lined side to write stories and sentences. There are endless possibilities for the blank side of the board. In math, students can show how they solve a math problem. In science, students could sketch the different parts of plants/animals. They could draw pictures of various landforms they learned about in social studies. These boards help to make doing all kinds of school work fun. All of my students don't really enjoy writing but all of my students do love to write on white boards with markers.
We will use these white boards and markers in all areas of instruction.
Each child will have a white board and marker in their desk. The other boards and markers will be put in centers and used during small group instructions. These new supplies will put smiles on the faces of my students and help to keep them engaged in learning.
