My Students
Students walk into our classroom knowing that we are a family. Everyone is appreciated, safe and loved. Students are excited for the opportunity to be the best student that they can be. The diversity in our classroom provides a unique learning environment where we are learning from each other academically and socially.
The classroom is a dynamic and diverse group of students who come from many different cultures to make our classroom family an exciting one to be a part of. Their energy for learning is contagious and I feel lucky to be their teacher.
My Project
Students learn best when the learning is authentic and related to their lives. High level interactive read alouds will provide my students with the skills they need to help them enhance their learning and deepen their academic language.
My students need more texts that will help them build higher level vocabulary skills to enhance their reading and writing skills. Through their interactive read alouds they will be able to create an understanding of context clues and how to use higher level words in their reading and writing. I am also hoping to use the texts to create knowledge of other literary features.
