Help me give my students quality read aloud books that support our reading standards!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I work in a Title I, PreK through 5th-grade school. My 1st-grade students are majority ELL (English Language Learners) and speak another language at home. Nearly all of them qualify for free lunch based on their socioeconomic status, so poverty is an issue.
My students are hard workers and eager learners who deserve the best I can give them.
They thrive with hands-on learning and experience, and I want to provide them with as much of that as possible. My students are departmentalized, meaning I see two blocks of students (21 per a class) a day and teach only literacy and writing with them.
My students come from high poverty and many of them do not have books at home. Because of this, it is imperative that I select books to read aloud that are quality pieces of literature that address our first grade standards.
This selection of books will allow students to hear various types of literature and be able to focus on many different learning standards.
This books are engaging and will get students motivated to explore character development, point of view, problem and solution, as well as many other skills.
Students need to hear engaging literature to not only become engaged, but to also develop a love of learning. These book selections will allow them to do just that.
