My Project
The Espresso touchscreen display is a high-quality device that was specifically chosen to improve the delivery of math and science lessons for my virtual 5th-grade students.
Our school is a choice school in the district that allows students to learn online rather than in person.
As a facilitator of instruction, I create asynchronous pre-recorded lessons for my students. The tools I have been using for this are temperamental and it can take a long time to create a single 10-minute lesson. A new touchscreen display, pen and mount will make the process smoother which will allow me to create high-quality lessons in greater quantity. The display is also portable which is why the case is important. I will be able to take it with me so that I can create lessons from wherever I am teaching.
Not only will the touchscreen help when creating asynchronous lessons, but when I am teaching synchronously I can show students how to solve math problems in real-time. I can also use it to leave specific "hand-written" feedback on students' digital work. With these digital tools my students will have quality paired with quantity for the very best online learning experience I can offer.
