Qball Throwable Wireless Microphone for Increased Student Engagement and Participation

Help me give my students Qball, a throwable wireless classroom audio system to create a multisensory approach to visual and auditory learning in the Media Center enhancement classes.

My Project

All students in grades K-5 come to the Media Center once a week for enhancements. Students hear stories and work on literacy skills such as listening comprehension, thinking and talking about texts through interactive read alouds, recalling vocabulary and ideas, and identifying literary elements of text.

The Qball is an educational technology tool that increases academic achievement and appeals to multiple learning styles.

Qball encourages students to be motivated to have responses at the ready because they know the ball could be headed their way at any time! Qball encourages students who might otherwise not be brave enough to answer.

The ability to order a variety of covers for the Qball means that we can address specific uses for content review, formative assessments, and reflections. Qball can be used for open ended questions or the interchangeable "Ws" cover can be used for who, what, when, where, and why questions.

The UVC sterilizer can be used to kill germs, bacteria, viruses from student use, in 10 minutes. The interchangeable covers are machine washable and come in a variety of colors and patterns.

The Qball wireless microphone would be a valuable asset to our daily lessons.
