My students need books to help them continue to grow in important life skills such as: empathy, compassion, determination, confidence, ethics, and more.
My third grade friends inspire me every single day. I often sit in awe of them and think to myself, "Who is doing the teaching here?" I truly believe I learn more from my students than they do from myself! My students need materials that can challenge them appropriately every day! This crew is fine-tuning their ability to navigate technology, grow in their love for reading, and increase their global and community awareness. I am passionate about providing them resources to grow and invest in their futures!
My Project
This year at PVE we have implemented our PVE strong traits. Compassion, confidence, determination, ethics, and wellness. These new books in class dive into each trait as a perfect model for my students to see what it means to be compassion, confident, and more. These books will not only foster a discussion about what it means to embody these traits, but it will help us continually grow in our classroom community. When students see beloved characters learning from mistakes, or trying to do the right thing-this sticks with them! Having these new books in our classroom library to check out or read as a class will help continue to model appropriate behavior.
