My Students

My students crave enrichment. They crave the "extra". They crave knowledge. The goal for my class is to satisfy this craving by providing hands-on learning experiences through problem-based learning opportunities. We don't just learn, we do!

Students in my classroom benefit greatly from both enrichment and acceleration.

They thrive in situations where they are working with their hands and discovering with minimal guidance. Our school district is a rapidly growing suburb in Eastern Iowa. We are growing so fast that we are almost out of room.

My Project

Students in my classroom benefit from challenging themselves to think outside the box. Rubics cubes, brain teasers, brain challenge books, and robotics kits will give students the opportunity to challenge their interests outside of the curriculum that is taught in class daily.

Many of my students are drawn toward activities that allow them to physically manipulate their ideas.

The activities listed above allow them to do so while thinking critically to solve challenges.

In a world where STEM fields are essential, any opportunity to think differently and critically is welcome to create a culture of people that welcome a challenge.
