Help me give my students successful way to regain their basic skills lost to the pandemic. We deserve a fun and stimulating way to practice.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We missed out on our education and we need something different. I teach a self-contained Special Education classroom made up of amazing 2nd graders. These students were only able to attend 3/4 of a year of kindergarten and then 8 weeks out of their 1st grade year in-school due to the pandemic. We were already behind before the pandemic, but now we are even further behind. We are lacking the basic skills needed to socialize, read and complete math problems. These puzzles are a fun and exciting way to practice without making it seem like practice. Puzzles are also somewhat self-checking so that is an added bonus for struggling students to gain some success - INDEPENDENTLY or with a PARTNER.
More than half of students from low‑income households
