Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These floor puzzles will help guide discussions and facilitate learning. The Solar System puzzle, Spaceship puzzle, and ABC puzzle will teach them about the solar system and spaceship, as well as how to recognize their ABCs during small group learning time. My students will be engaged in learning about our Solar System and how it works. They will also be engaged with the Spaceship puzzle to learn about spaceships. My students will discuss the solar system among themselves and then with the teacher.

Learning the alphabet will help them learn their sounds and how to put words together.

The number puzzles will also help them in their counting, and the animal puzzles will bring them so much delight as they learn about the different kinds of animals.

This project will help in elevating my students to the next level seeing that they can put together all types of puzzles. “Puzzling Our Minds” will give my students something to look forward to when they are coming to our small group and center time.
