This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is a Title I school with 77.2% of students coming from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. My class will consist of 20 pre-kindergarten students. My class is an inclusion class that will consist of general education and special education students. Therefore, because I am teaching very young children with different abilities and levels it is essential to differentiate my instruction and make it engaging.
In the beginning of the school year we focus on developing my students fine motor skills.
Fine motor skills, which include the coordination of little muscles in the hands, fingers, lips, tongue, and eyes, are significant for the vast majority regular undertakings. They assist kids with taking care of oneself, like eating, dressing, and utilizing the toilet, and with creative activities like art and dance. Fine motor skills also help children develop hand-eye coordination, which is important for physical activities.
Therefore, this project is focusing on getting different puzzles for my students to practice their fine motor skills. The puzzles will help with their fine motor skills but also will make help them learning their numbers, shapes, letters, animals and problem solving skills. The puzzles would be a great addition to our class and my students’ education.
