This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love learning and are always eager for one-on-one work time. However, they are still learning how to play independently and complete work without being prompted. This is where puzzles and manipulatives come into play. These particular supplies are exactly what my students need to work independently and have success.
We currently have a small supply of puzzles that students have grown bored with.
They enjoy work and being able to do things independently. It is so important for them to feel that success by problem solving to complete a puzzle or to lace patterns. These skills help encourage them to try harder tasks and help strengthen their muscles to be able to trace their name and or improve overall fine motor skills.
Learning about nutrition of their foods is also a great life skill that they can use for years to come.
