This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am lucky to have a class of curious and energetic fifth graders. It makes me very happy to come every day and see them question things and grow as students and future bilingual citizens. It is wonderful to see them improve their command of the Spanish and English language.
In my classroom we have a corner where students have the opportunity to put together puzzles.
Research has shown the enormous benefits that puzzles have on children, they develop their motor skills, visual memory, the ability to concentrate, as well as exercising tenacity and tolerance for frustration.
Eventually I want them to develop their group work skills to participate in a friendly puzzle contest at school.
