Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In this project, my students will explore the geography of the Americas through an engaging, hands-on activity: assembling a large puzzle where each country is its piece. To make it even more interactive, each puzzle piece will be magnetic, allowing students to place and rearrange the countries directly on our classroom whiteboards. This magnetic map will help them visualize the locations, shapes, and relationships between the countries of North, Central, and South America dynamically and memorably.
By combining tactile learning with visual organization, this project will support my students in developing spatial awareness, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of world geography—all while having fun!
