Help me give my students puzzles to bring real world experiences to our classroom. Puzzles are a great way for our littles to see items from our world, manipulate and use their imagination all while "working"!
I teach in a small town community with loads of spirit and tons of heart. Our small school and its demographics have changed significantly since I walked the halls long ago as an elementary student. However, I enjoy them just as much as I did way back then.
Just because our school is Title I doesn't mean we don't have future leaders of our communities and country among our hallways.
Children from low income homes can be just as successful as children from wealthy backgrounds. Our students need to be reminded of this each day and that is most definitely my WHY! Our school is full of amazing leaders of all shapes, sizes, and demographics.
My Project
Providing my classroom of 4 year olds with real world experiences can be a challenge! The sky is the limit does not apply to expensive study trips or school events. Unfortunately, nothing is free. Most schools have to factor in paying for busses, gas and drivers in addition to the actual school related trip.
Puzzles are a great way to show my students all about the world using items they can manipulate and use their imagination with.
Puzzles are great to use for a variety of learning experiences in our classroom. They can take animals on a safari, match ocean life in the sea, sequence life cycles and so much more.
These puzzles will help us learn more about community helpers, habitats, life cycles, colors, letters, shapes and so much more! The puzzle stands will help to keep our centers organized, which is one of the most tasking parts of our pre-k day.
