Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a specific area for puzzles allows my students an area where they can go and practice their fine motor skills. The seating will serve as dual function where they can use at the table and also pull away when they need to calm down.
Puzzles are an excellent activity that can be used for both fine motor and academic skills.
Having a variety of puzzles allow me to bring in motivating features to each student and work on varying skills such as matching, counting, sound and letter recognition.
The chairs will provide a place for them to remain in one area. They will also allow me or the student to pull them away from the center when they need a place to sit to calm down.
