This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Welcome to Beach Park bands! Our students and community are exceptional in many ways, but we really LOVE band! Whereas most public school districts see about 20-30% participation in performing ensembles, our elementary schools average 60% participation, and the enthusiasm carries over into middle school!
As the 5th grade Beginning Band teacher, I travel to each of our 4 elementary schools every week to teach.
Each building is very different, but what they do have in common is not having much dedicated band space! The items in this project will help us create more of a 'real classroom' for 5th grade beginners at all four elementary schools. Our classes will be safer, more organized, and run more efficiently so we can all focus on learning music!
