My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They are told each morning how important they are. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything. I teach at a Title I school where 70% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

I teach a rigorous curriculum in all subjects and have high expectations for all my students.

As a result, they want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. I reach all learning styles in each of the subjects I teach. We read novels, we use robots in science, we work in collaborative groups, use technology in science, and we problem solve.

My Project

My students will be able to explore their world in a whole new way by holding holograms of the solar system, human body, and hundreds of other objects in their hands. MERGE Cube brings STEM to life and gives students the power to create using augmented reality technology.

The MERGE Cube is a foam cube with different designs on each side.

When held in front of the camera of a device while using a variety of Merge Cube apps the cube is transformed into digital 3D objects and scenes. You can move and rotate the cube in your hand to see things from different angles.
