This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a kindergarten classroom. They come from warm and caring families and most are learning English as a second language.
My students are eager and energetic learners that love to express themselves.
They love all aspects of schooling especially working in groups and hands-on learning. Together, with my students, we are looking forward to an exciting, although unprecedented year.
My Project
This project will make a daily difference in the educational experience that my kindergarten students have. Due to the unprecedented pandemic, I teach a virtual kindergarten class to 19 students in a Title I school and many of these families do not have access to a printer.
This project would help me get those students the much needed hard copies of our weekly assignments to help them develop much needed fine motor skills.
It allows my virtual students to receive the same educational opportunities as their in-person classmates, thus ensure that the educational gap does not increase for these first time school-aged children.
More than half of students from low‑income households
