How do students learn and make connections in the classroom? In Kindergarten, so much of our learning is done by engaging our senses and participating in hands on activities. Prioritizing these hands on experiences support my students in strengthening fine motor skills, encouraging social interaction, and allowing for creativity.
All of the selected materials in this grant specifically target students abilities to engage in cross-cutting concepts and demonstrate curiosity and creativity.
My goal for this project is to help students work together in problem solving, spacial reasoning, and critical thinking. This project will open up new choices for my students to explore and engage in hands-on learning. These materials will provide incredible opportunities for students to explore STEM concepts and grow their understanding in science, technology, engineering , and math. My students will be so excited to have new tools to learn and grow with!
