Help me give my students sensory/ fidget toys, print paper, laminate, photo paper, folders, paint, and various learning supplies, all of which are essential to support my students' diverse needs and enhance their learning experience.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have immense admiration for my students, who are unique in their own ways. What I truly love about them is their determination and the progress they make despite facing moderate to severe learning disabilities. Each student brings their own strengths and challenges to our classroom, making it a vibrant and diverse learning environment.
The specific resources I'm requesting are carefully chosen to cater to their needs and make a significant difference in their learning.
The sensory/fidget toys will be invaluable for my students with sensory sensitivities or attention difficulties. They will help create a more focused and calming atmosphere in the classroom, enabling these students to engage better in learning activities.
I will use the print paper and laminating sheets to create customized learning materials that suit each student's unique needs, ensuring accessibility and adaptability in our lessons.
Visual aids are essential for students with learning disabilities. Photo paper will enable us to create visual schedules, flashcards, and other visual learning tools that can enhance comprehension and facilitate independent learning.
Organizational skills are a fundamental aspect of functional life skills. Folders will help my students keep their materials and assignments organized, promoting independence and a sense of responsibility in managing their tasks.
The primary goal of this project is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to the diverse needs of my students with moderate to severe learning disabilities. I aim to foster independence, boost their self-esteem, and provide my students with the tools and resources necessary to acquire functional life skills.
