I teach four classes of hardworking and creative ELA students for one period every day this year. My students come together from diverse backgrounds to create a vibrant learning community in our large NYC public school.
I would like to enrich our ELA studies by incorporating some artistic activities that will help students further develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
For this reason, I am requesting some art supplies and materials, such as markers, posters, and rainbow pencils, that can be used in class for collaborative projects. Students can better understand subject area content material by working together, and they also develop important skills like problem-solving and self-confidence when they work together to achieve a common goal.
