We would like to add a mini golf unit to our Phys Ed curriculum. It is an activity families can do outside during the summer. I think if we could get kids interested in playing mini golf at school, this summer it would lead to families spending more time together and spending time outside.
Our main goal of the unit is to get the kids active and learning a skill they could do for their entire lives.
Another goal would be working on hand-eye coordination using putters and the materials in the golf sets. Mini golf also works on communication skills and teamwork.
Our school's demographic is over 75% of our kids receive free breakfast and lunch. We are hoping to let all kids experience mini golf in school and hopefully, it leads to many, many hours of family fun down the line.
