My Students
I feel so lucky that I get to share my days with this amazing group of 4th graders. These students are bright and inquisitive. They are brave and willing to make mistakes knowing that in the process they are learning.
Every day, my students push themselves to be creative doers, problem solvers, and critical thinkers.
They are fun to be around and I learn something new from them each day. They take care of each other, just like family. They encourage each other and help when it is needed.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting will help my struggling students focus. Keeping beat using a drum helps students concentrate. They will drum poetry, multiplication, and reading fluency. Individual students will be able to take turns with the drum to follow along as I teach. Keeping beat is a good way to help with focus.
The Dejembe Drum, Twisteez, and art supplies will help my students listen, keep their hands busy, and give them a creative outlet for their energy.
The art supplies will be used to help my students with their fine motor skills as they create projects with beautiful outcomes.
