My Students
Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my class strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
My class consists of 32 amazing and diverse students.
Of those 32, about half are English learners, 2 receive resource services, and 2 students are newcomers from Sudan and Syria. They all have a positive attitude towards learning and do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community with incredible writing and critical thinking.
My Project
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read, but due to the pandemic, many are unable to get access to leveled books they need.
Struggling readers need better support during this time of digital learning, and access to audio books and physical books will help.
Students who read read successfully every day find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers.
