My Students
Day after day, week after week, as educators, we are being told to skip the arts and just stick to the core. Students don't want to be in this kind of classroom day after day. It takes the fun and creativity out of the day.
My students get tired of the day to day worksheets and teacher lectures to learn the material.
They would much rather create! My students are very creative individuals. They love to color, cut and paste to create new projects. Every chance they get they want to make things. Anytime they have art available to them they get so excited about it.
My Project
Every chance I get I try to integrate art into the daily lessons. This is not only a great way for my students to use their creativity, but it is a wonderful way for them to show their learning and understanding. My students will be able to use these resources to display art work they are proud of as well as teach others what they have learned through their art.
The purchase of these materials will make it easier to integrate art into more lessons and assess students learning through the art projects.
It will take the place of the mundane paper/pencil tests and allow student creativity and expression to bloom.
