This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in a fantastic school where we focus on the whole child by using STEAM as the conduit to helping them grow into able citizens of the 21st century. My students are intelligent and always interested in the 'next big thing,' so focusing on technology as a helpful tool is an easy way to hook them into loving school.
The materials I am requesting will help my students reach their technological potential and turn them into young coders!
With your help, we can remix their play!
The OSMO base and the learning kits will mix kinesthetics, coding, language arts, and math into a fun, hands-on activity. The Botley kit and accessories will help turn coding from an on-screen action into a real-life experience. The Think & Learn Rocktopus will give coding a fun musical twist (making coding fun and a dance party). The digital camera and memory cards will focus on technological visual arts. And lastly, the flashcards will give my students the analog skills to use the new technology.
